The Marlins are placing closer Pete Fairbanks on the 15-day injured list with nerve irritation, reports Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. The righty left last night’s game in Los Angeles with some discomfort in his arm/hand area. Miami recalled lefty Cade Gibson from Triple-A Jacksonville in the corresponding move.
