The McBee Dynasty‘s Steve McBee Sr. Pleaded Guilty To Crop Insurance Fraud Back In November 2024
Fans of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys first met the namesake family and their Missouri farming and cattle business back in 2024. The show then moved onto Bravo, starting with its second season.
Back in November 2024, the McBee family patriarch pleaded guilty to crop insurance fraud. At the time, he was sentenced to two years in prison. This would be followed by two years of supervised release, as well as a restitution fee of $4,022,124.
Speaking with Us Weekly, Steven McBee Jr. shared that his father could be coming home earlier than expected. As he shared, “Thankfully, we’re down to less than two months now before he gets out. He will be able to get into a program that allows him to cut down on the time served.”
An Upcoming Episode Of The McBee Dynasty Will Showcase Steve Sr.’s Self-Surrender To His Prison Sentence
According to Steven Jr., his father won’t exactly be a free man, but the family appreciates the move. He continued, “He’ll be under home confinement for four to six months, but he gets out early.” Ultimately, he would have served less than a year behind bars.
For the time being, the eldest McBee son noted how much he missed his father. He expressed, “It’s not the same without [my dad] there, without a doubt. His laugh, his jokes, his uplifting, positive attitude — we’ve been missing it.” Thinking about his father’s homecoming following his release from FPC Yankton in Yankton, he also considered what would happen next, noting, “As far as my dad’s role, whenever he gets out, we laugh around the family.”

In addition, viewers are expected to soon see more of the family patriarch’s sentencing play out on the family’s reality show. During the upcoming July 20 episode, viewers will see Steve having to self-surrender to begin his prison stay, as ordered by a judge.
