Season 2 of Next Gen NYC just premiered on Wednesday, June 24th, but there is drama off-camera. Ariana Biermann’s boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy’s mother, was just arrested for assault, but who did she allegedly hurt? Keep reading for all of the details that are currently known.
Ariana Biermann & Hudson McLeroy’s Relationship Is Struggling
Next Gen NYC fans have watched Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy try to make their romance work. He is a doting boyfriend, but he is also very protective of Ariana and only wants the best for her. Sadly, they have broken up, which will play out in Season 2. Off-camera, the two have seemingly gotten back together, and everyone is happy about that because they really do love one another. She has had problems with her mother, Kim Zolciak, who often struggled with money. Ariana would help Kim, something that often irked Hudson, but now his mother is in the center of the drama.
It seems that Carol McLeroy, 58, was arrested in Georgia on June 15th after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend. He noted that he had been staying with Carol regularly, but on the night of the assault, it started with a verbal fight. The boyfriend, 32, proceeded to throw a pillow at Hudson’s mother, and then she backhanded him in the face twice. Per the deputy on the case:
“[Carol backhanded] him in the face at least two times.”
That led to a “red laceration under his left eye and bottom lip.” She was arrested for a misdemeanor but bonded out on June 16th. The Next Gen NYC star’s mother’s mugshot was released, and she looked rough. Her blonde hair was disheveled, while her makeup was smeared all over her face.

Ariana Biermann is familiar with this kind of family drama. Her mother, Kim, and father, Kroy Biermann, have been going through a contentious split. Moreover, the police have been called numerous times to their home, and the custody situation is still being fought out.
Hudson & Ariana Making It Work
Despite the split on Next Gen NYC, Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy are trying to make it work. They have been dropping hints that they are back together, even holding hands at the show’s Season 2 premiere.

It is good that Hudson has Ariana by his side amid all of this familial drama. However, fans are not so happy with Ariana, and they have compared her to her mother without a reason. Others noted that they both have mothers with issues:
- OMG, this explains so much! Poor Hudson is attracted to the same kind of garbage as his mommy.
- So they both have dysfunctional Moms.
- I hope he manages to get away from Ariana (and hopefully not so dependent on his mother and probably father) and not let her use him. He seemed fairly decent like some of the others who weren’t HW brats or spawn of HW garbage like Gia and I think Ariana are.
