Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding its North American network with additional nonstop flights to Vancouver, Toronto and New York from Manila. This will provide customers with more travel options and strengthen connectivity between the Philippines/Southeast Asia and Canada/the United States.
PAL will increase the Manila–Vancouver services from seven to 10 weekly flights effective Nov. 17; 2026; it will increase the Manila–Toronto services from three to four flights per week as of Dec. 5, 2026; and it will also increase the Manila–New York (JFK) services from three to four weekly flights effective Dec. 2, 2026. A fifth weekly flight will be added during the peak December–January holiday travel season on the New York route.
The expanded services will further strengthen Philippine Airlines’ position as the leading carrier in Southeast Asia, with the most nonstop flights to North America, said Richard Nuttall, president of Philippine Airlines. The new flights will improve connectivity to key regional centres, including Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi.
The additional Toronto and New York services will initially operate with Airbus A350-900 equipment, before transitioning to PAL’s new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, as these are built and added to the fleet. The A350-1000 will also begin serving San Francisco in August 2026. Also upcoming will be the start of three flights per week to Chicago from Manila, beginning Nov. 9, 2026.
This will form part of Philippine Airlines’ long-term network growth strategy, strengthening Manila’s role as a premier gateway between North America and Southeast Asia, said company president Nuttall.
