Perez Hilton Tries To Take His Own Life
It was a scary day for social media users when internet icon, Perez Hilton, seemingly tried to take his own life on a livestream. Perez has been a well-known internet personality and blogger for years. He is popular for posting tabloid stories and other content exposing celebrities. However, he appears to be going through a huge mental health crisis.
At the time of the live, Perez was covered in something that looked to be blood as he was allegedly performing acts of self-harm on camera. Of course, fans took this very seriously, and the Miami-Dade County Sheriffâs Office got multiple calls while this was happening. Eventually, help arrived at his house, where he was rushed to the hospital. As of August 8, his family says he was in critical but stable condition.
However, while this event seemed sudden to fans, heâs apparently been going through some personal things behind the scenes.
Questioning His Sexuality
According to InTouch, sources say that Perez has been switching up the narrative when it comes to his sexuality lately. In the past, heâs been very confident in his sexuality, identifying as gay. However, thatâs all changed. Now, he considers himself âex-gay.â
âHe was telling people he considered himself âex-gay,ââ one source says. âHe was very serious about it. This wasnât a joke or something he said once. He was telling people that he was no longer gay.â
So why the switch up? He claims itâs because of a newfound faith. According to sources, he has been getting very deep into conservative Christianity.
âHe had completely changed the way he talked about himself,â another source says. âHe was talking about his sexuality differently and saying that he had found a new path through his faith.â
Of course, this is very confusing to the people who know him. Especially because his sexuality has always been such a big part of who he is, on and offline.
âPeople around Perez were making that comparison privately,â someone shared. âThey saw someone moving away from the identity that had defined him publicly for decades.â
As of now, there are no new updates regarding the health status of Perez. However, hopefully he gets the help that he needs.
