Post Malone confirmed BAST2 is arriving in 10 days. The announcement landed on Instagram on Sunday, keeping it stripped back: “see you in 10 days BAST2 💟.”

No tracklist, no features listed. Post didn’t need the extras. The name alone set things in motion.

Based on the timing, BAST2 is on track to arrive around June 10, 2026. Mercury Records and Republic Records are both behind the project. That signals a serious commercial push. The low-key caption doesn’t change what’s behind it.

The post moved fast. Close to 47,000 likes showed up quickly. That’s a strong number even at Post Malone‘s level. It tells you pretty clearly how much this sequel has been on people’s minds.

The name makes it clear: BAST2 is a follow-up. Post hasn’t shared a tracklist, named any features, or given any hint of the sound or format. That open-ended setup is doing a lot of work right now. His fans are filling in the gaps, and comment sections are running hot with theories. Committing to a sequel rather than a full reset is a choice worth noticing. Post is doubling down on something. He’s not saying what yet.

The anticipation makes sense. Post Malone broke out with “Congratulations” and built a career that’s been genuinely hard to box in. He moves between rap, pop, and other genres without losing his footing. That range is part of what makes BAST2 so open to interpretation. It could land almost anywhere.

He made that range obvious with a country album a couple of years back. Reception was mixed early. But the project found a much wider audience than most people predicted. Post didn’t flinch. That kind of confidence in your own direction builds real loyalty over time.

Post tends to run lean rollouts. He’s not known for weeks of teaser content or elaborate pre-release campaigns. A short caption and a countdown is closer to his speed. It worked on Sunday – the response came fast, and the momentum is already building ahead of the drop.

The label setup adds some weight here. Mercury and Republic together handle wide-scale distribution and radio reach. A quiet announcement is one thing. The infrastructure behind BAST2 is anything but quiet.

Post’s fanbase runs wide – hip-hop listeners, pop converts, people who showed up during the country era. BAST2 has a shot at landing for all of them. That’s a big ask for a project that hasn’t shown its face yet. Post has pulled it off before.

A June 10 landing puts BAST2 right in the early summer window – one of the most competitive stretches on the music calendar. Dropping in there without a massive buildup takes confidence. Post Malone seems to have it.

Ten days. The clock is running.
