A Quebec Superior Court judge has ruled in favour of Cardinal Marc Ouellet in a defamation lawsuit brought against Paméla Groleau, ordering her to pay him $100,000 in damages.

Ouellet filed the lawsuit after Groleau named him in a 2022 class-action lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct by members of the Quebec City diocese.

This is a developing story. More to come.
