The Toronto Raptors clobbered the Brooklyn Nets 136-101 on Sunday at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. In the process, the Raptors improved to a record of 46 wins and 36 losses, with a winning percentage of .561. That is good enough for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Toronto will now face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the opening round of the 2026 National Basketball Association postseason. Game one will be Saturday at 11 am MT in Cleveland.
On Sunday, the Raptors beat the Nets in every quarter. They out scored Brooklyn 32-27 in the first quarter, 38-34 in the second quarter, 30-23 in the third quarter and 36-17 in the fourth quarter.
Six Raptors reached double digits in points for Toronto. Small forward R.J. Barrett of Toronto, Ontario led the way with 26 points, the Eastern Conference Player of the Week and small forward Brandon Ingram had 25 points, power forward Scottie Barnes had 18 points, center Jakob Poeltl had 11 points, shooting guard Ja’Kobe Walter had 11 points and shooting guard A.J. Lawson of Toronto had 10 points.
Barnes had the triple-double as he had 12 rebounds and 12 assists. It was the ninth triple double of his NBA career.
Meanwhile for the week, Ingram averaged 25.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game. He finished the season averaging 21.5 points per game, 5.6 rebounds per game and 3.7 assists per game.
