For fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the wedding of Kyle Richards’ daughter, Alexia Umansky, has recently become a topic of discussion. During a recent conversation, Teddi Mellencamp described the behavior of one cast member in particular: Dorit Kemsley. This also comes out as Dorit herself shared her side of the story.
Alexia Umansky’s Wedding Was Given Focus During Season 15 Of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Teddi, the daughter of singer-songwriter John Mellencamp, was known to many for appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Serving as part of the main cast from 2017 to 2020, she has continued to appear as a guest in subsequent seasons.
Meanwhile, Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills focused heavily on Dorit Kemsley. This ranged from her divorce from PK Kemsley to her chronic lateness, even calling off friendships, while others hung by a thread.
However, it was Dorit’s behavior at Alexia Umansky’s wedding that especially rubbed Teddi Mellencamp the wrong way. She recently talked about this on the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast.
Alexia Umansky married her longtime partner, Jake Zingerman, this past September in Los Angeles. Their wedding was featured on Season 15 of the Bravo series.
During the conversation, Tamra Judge asked her, “Dorit went to Kyle’s daughter’s wedding. How did that happen?” Explaining that Dorit had already gotten an invite, Teddi shared, “She doesn’t end up being late because the wedding’s late, so … it’s neither here nor there. But she comes there, and she speaks so loudly the entire time we’re waiting.”
Teddi noted that there were times when she really loved and got along with Dorit. However, she felt, “She is loud. Everyone else is silent.”
Dorit Also Shared Her Side Of Things On The RHOBH After Show
Noting that the guests were told not to take photos or videos, Teddi continued, “Then, when they start walking down the aisle, Dorit pulls out her phone and starts videoing. They just gave us instructions!”
After being asked by Tamra, Teddi also claimed that Dorit was there when these instructions were given. In fact, Teddi previously described the moment as being “right around the time Dorit comes Bambi-ing down the stairs.”
For her part, as noted by Bravo, Dorit herself shared on the RHOBH After Show that she initially didn’t know that PK would be at the wedding until the last second. She also theorized that she was invited to keep the “image” of wanting to move forward.
Dorit also praised Kyle, who she said invited her, for her behavior, saying she was one of the only people who acknowledged her. As she shared, “And at the wedding, she came up to me. She’s the only one that came up to me. … She gave me a kiss, and she said, you know, ‘Thank you for coming.’”
