Tim Curry Dead At 80
Moviegoers have fallen in love with Tim Curry over the years for many reasons. He starred as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which has become a cult classic. Curry went on to star as Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King’s IT, which would haunt dreams for decades. Additionally, he was horrible to Kevin McCallister in Home Alone 2, while also making appearances on the hit sitcom Roseanne. Sadly, a stroke in 2012 left Curry wheelchair bound, which was hard for his fans to digest. They still saw him as the sprite and campy Dr. from Rocky Horror and would not let that go.
Unfortunately, fourteen years after the stroke, Tim Curry has passed away. The news was announced via TMZ, which shared that Curry died on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026. As for what took his life, that is unknown, but it appears that there was nothing off or out of pocket. However, he has been sick for some time, so this is not the biggest shock, although devastating all the same. He died in his home in Los Angeles, California, and fans are now rallying with condolences and memories of Curry.
