White House Shares Shocking Reaction To Rosie O’Donnell’s Late-Night Return
President Trump insulting reporters or people he doesn’t like is nothing new. He did it in his first term and it’s only gotten more prevalent in his second term. However, he saves his best (or worst?) insults for Rosie O’Donnell. While in the U.S. for the summer, the comedian was given an opportunity to host Jimmy Kimmel Live! for one week. As expected, she continued Jimmy Kimmel’s nightly tradition of making jokes at the President’s expense.
President Trump has already made a public plea for ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel. However, as a guest host, Rosie O’Donnell can’t really be fired. So, the White House took another tactic in response to her week of jokes.
“Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” they said in an official statement to PEOPLE magazine.
Rosie O’Donnell Fires Back At President Trump’s ‘Slob’ Insult
On her first night of guest-hosting, Rosie O’Donnell looked directly at the camera and said, “Hi, I know you’re watching.” It was a clear message to President Trump, though she never once uttered his name during her four-night stint. Instead, she used nicknames like “Mango Mussolini” and “President Petty Roosevelt.”
She had a harsh response to being called a “slob” by the leader of the free world. Rosie O’Donnell hit back at the insult by sharing an unflattering photo of President Trump. “This is the guy calling me a slob #mirrormirror,” she wrote on Instagram. The photo showed President Trump wearing a white shirt and blue pants that were high on his waist. His usually coiffed hair was blown back and it was just not a good photo in general.
Rosie O’Donnell’s social media followers cackled at her response to being called a “slob.” Overall, her guest-hosting gig on Jimmy Kimmel Live! was widely praised, with many begging for her to return to daytime.
