Vanderpump Rules Alum Scheana Shay Says Heartbreaking Goodbye To Family Member
A lot of Vanderpump Rules viewers forget that Scheana Shay was the catalyst for the spinoff. In the first episode, her conversation with RHOBH alum Brandi Glanville at SUR transitioned to the VPR premiere. Scheana Shay spent 11 seasons revealing nearly every detail about her life, including her dating ups and downs.
She finally met the right man in Brock Davies. They welcomed a daughter, Summer Moon, in 2021. However, Scheana Shay later revealed that her husband cheated on her. She was heartbroken but got through it because of her support system. The support system included her beloved four-legged family member, Penny Lane.
Scheana Shay named the cat after the main character in her favorite movie, Almost Famous. The reality star’s “It’s All Happening” tattoo is a quote from the iconic movie. Sadly, Penny Lane, the cat, passed away earlier this week. A heartbroken Scheana Shay took to social media to share the news.
“Two nights ago we had to say goodbye to my first baby Penny Lane at home in her favorite spot— in front of the fireplace,” she began a lengthy tribute. “17 years with my sweet girl and it still wasn’t enough.”
The Vanderpump Rules alum candidly admitted that although she’s experienced loss before, losing her beloved cat was one of the most difficult things she’s experienced. “Penny Lane has been the constant through so many seasons of my life,” Scheana Shay wrote.
“She was with me through my single days, my married days, my divorced-and-desperate era, through miscarriage, motherhood, and everything in between. No matter what life looked like, I was never truly alone, because I always had her by my side.”
Penny Lane Made Her A ‘Cat Lady’
The grief and shock of losing Penny Lane resonated throughout the heartfelt tribute. Scheana Shay revealed that while she has 4 other cats, Penny Lane was the one who “made me the cat lady I am today.”
“I feel a hole in my heart and house. I miss her nighttime meows, her wet little nose nudging me and her constantly wanting to make an appearance in every cameo video I do at home,” she wrote about her beloved cat.
Scheana Shay received a lot of support and condolences for the loss of Penny Lane. The Valley star Zach Wickham wrote:
