The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is one of the hottest reality shows right now. Hulu recently announced a new spinoff coming soon. However, one of the OG stars won’t be back for Season 5. They revealed on social media that they abruptly quit the show, which they slammed as “fake.” Keep reading for all the details on the shocking situation.
Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Resumes Filming After Pause
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul has been in the headlines recently, and not for a good reason. Excitement over her season of The Bachelorette turned to dismay after ABC yanked it from the schedule. The decision came after a video leaked of Taylor Frankie Paul hitting and kicking her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, in a 2023 domestic violence incident. She was charged at the time, but video of the actual incident had never been released before.
The shocking leak came after SLOMW was put on pause following an investigation into a new domestic violence incident in February 2026. Taylor Frankie Paul’s co-star expressed concern over filming with her, so production was halted. However, the Utah D.A. declined to press charges against Taylor Frankie Paul or Dakota Mortensen for that incident.
Production for Season 5 of the popular reality show resumed, reportedly without Taylor or Dakota. At least for now. Despite the negative attention, Hulu isn’t abandoning the reality show. In fact, the streaming service is doubling down its support with a new spinoff. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County drops later this year.
Star Abruptly Quits, Slams Show As ‘Fake’
Taylor Frankie Paul recently deleted her social media after the media storm. However, the break is only temporary, and she’s expected to film for SLOMW soon. But viewers may not see another cast member again. They shared on social media that they quit, blasting the show as “fake.”
Jordan Ngatikaura and Jessi Draper’s rocky marriage is over. He filed for divorce in March, followed by them both filing for restraining orders against each other. The former couple shares two children, plus his daughter from a previous relationship.

Like many reality stars looking to make an extra buck, Jordan Ngatikaura is on Cameo. One fan paid for a video for their friend’s wedding, but got a lot more than they bargained for. Jordan Ngatikaura slammed the show and revealed he had abruptly quit.
“I understand that you’re a big fan of the show. So I hate to burst your bubble, [but] the show is a little bit … a lot of it is scripted and very edited to make the men look like dumba**es,” he said. “Half the scenes are totally fake and bulls***t.”
“If it helps you, I did quit the show. I want nothing to do with any of them or any of this clout grab, chase … hopefully I’m just going to be working on my own stuff going forward,” Jordan Ngatikaura said in the video.
@ninamartinsen2 Bachelorette party Cameo… I was NOT expecting him to say this. I- 💀 #secretlifesofmormonwives #dadtok #momtok #fyp #cameo
The Secret Lives star admitted he’s the last person to offer marriage advice before slamming Jessi Draper. “I’m going through a divorce, and as you’ve probably seen online, my wife’s acting like a complete psycho [and] manic person,” Jordan Ngatikaura said.
Did he really quit the show? Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
