Seeking Sister Wife star Lorrana Merrifield has gotten to such a desperate point that she has launched a GoFundMe. She has been attempting to escape her marriage to Garrick Merrifield, but with no luck. Now, she is doing whatever is possible to obtain help. Keep reading for what exactly she is asking for.
Lorrana Merrifield Trapped By Garrick
When Seeking Sister Wife viewers saw Garrick Merrifield baptize Lorrana at the end of Season 5, they knew trouble was afoot. He and his “wife,” Dannielle, had already been engaged to two women prior, and those failed. So, to have another “victim” was scary, but she did move over to Buena Vista, Colorado, to Brazil. Moreover, she married Garrick in a courthouse ceremony with Dannielle waiting outside, and within weeks, Lorrana was pregnant. Sadly, Garrick was arrested shortly after Lorrana welcomed their daughter for domestic violence, but they appeared to be just fine based on photos.
They ended up splitting after she sent an SOS to her social media following, and the Merrifields headed West to California. It appeared that Lorrana and her daughter stayed behind in Colorado, but they have since relocated, as well. She has wanted to find a good family attorney, but that has proven challenging. Now, Lorrana has started a GoFundMe to get the help she so desperately needs, so she is asking for $6K. In her description, she is not divulging much, but did say this:
“Because this is a sensitive family matter, I need to protect my privacy and cannot share many personal details. I am grateful for every message, prayer, and contribution. Any support means more than I can express and will help me take important steps toward rebuilding my life.”
As of 1030 am EST on Sunday, August 2nd, she had raised $157 with 14 donations. Some Seeking Sister Wife fans and followers may be skeptical about donating, and for good reason. Garrick was arrested for DV against Lorrana, but then she staged a photo shoot of him proposing all over again. She made it seem like things were perfect, but then she feared for her life. Lorrana knew who he and Dannielle were all along, but stuck around, so that makes this situation very tricky.
A Lot Of Questions
Seeking Sister Wife viewers had a lot of questions for Lorrana Merrifield. They wondered if she was getting child support from Garrick Merrifield, given that they share a child. However, since they are not legally divorced, it is a fine line. Others believed that TLC had an obligation to her for exploitation, but she signed up for the show, which can be disputed. Then, there were words of support:
