Carolina Hurricanes multi-positional forward Seth Jarvis of Winnipeg, Manitoba scored his first National Hockey League Stanley Cup Playoff overtime winner on Thursday. He scored from Shayne Gostisbehere and Sebastian Aho at 3:56 of overtime in a 4-3 Hurricanes win over the Vegas Golden Knights at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina in game two of the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Final. With the win, the Hurricanes and Golden Knights are tied at one game apiece in the best out of seven series.
Jarvis, who plays centre and right wing, was one of four Canadians to score for the Hurricanes. The other three were centre Logan Stankoven of Kamloops, British Columbia, captain and centre Jordan Staal of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and centre Mark Jankowski of Hamilton, Ontario.
Carolina was trailing 2-0 to the Golden Knights in the third period before they scored three unanswered goals. Mark Stone of Winnipeg, Manitoba tied the game at three with one minute and 21 seconds left in the third period to force overtime.
In the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, Jarvis has four goals and five assists for nine points in 15 games. He is a +2 with two power-play points, one game-winning goal, 38 shots on goal, 11 blocked shots, 24 hits, four takeaways, and 14 giveaways.
