Street Outlaws star Chris ‘Block’ Gordon has tragically died at the tender age of fifty-five years old. His passing happened on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, but where did this happen, and more importantly, how? Keep reading for all of the details that are currently known related to his death.
Chris ‘Block’ Gordon Dead At 55
Street Outlaws became a popular series that ran for fifteen seasons and covered the life and times of street racing. It began in 2013 and culminated with a final season in 2019. The seasons were not long, roughly eight episodes, but they could be extended based on popularity. The Fast and the Furious obsession and street racing in general helped keep the show alive and well. Chris ‘Block’ Gordon was known as a drag racer and a presence from the hit reality series.
Sadly, his life was cut short at the age of 55, when he was killed on August 23rd. The Ohio racetrack KD Motorsports Park in South Webster released a statement regarding Chris’ passing. They had this to say, and it is absolutely heartbreaking, whether you’re a fan or not:
“We had a devastating accident last night at the track involving our great friend and fellow racer, Chris ‘Block’ Gordon. He was lost as a result of this terrible incident.”
They went on to add details about medical attention that was dispatched to the scene to help the Street Outlaws fan favorite:
“Our staff was immediately on scene with trained medical staff, firefighters, EMT and medical equipment, along with highly medically trained bystanders who exhausted all of their efforts at the time of the accident.”
He had been promoting the event beforehand, but sadly, it was what took his life.
Chris leaves behind a wife and his beloved family, who are undoubtedly struggling with this immense loss. However, he was doing something that he loved, but it is horrible that he lost his life doing the same.
Gone Too Soon
Immediately after it was announced that the Street Outlaws star had died, social media was inundated with love and tributes. No one could believe that he had died in such a tragic way, especially since he was so excited for the race:
