TAP Air Portugal is introducing new services designed to further personalize the travel experience and respond to passengers’ evolving needs, from comfort and relaxation to access to digital content.
The airline is now offering new travel kits on long-haul flights, complimentary access to PressReader through the in-flight Wi-Fi portal, a “Skip Meal” option that allows customers to indicate in advance that they would prefer to skip their in-flight meal, and a new luggage collection, storage and delivery service through a partnership with LUGGit.
TAP’s new travel kits are now available to passengers traveling in Business and Economy Prime cabins on the airline’s long-haul flights. Named “The Blaze,” the new collection features an updated design, refreshed contents and a stronger focus on sustainability and Portuguese identity.
Available in several colour combinations inspired by Portugal, the bag is crafted from recycled materials and influenced by Portuguese craftsmanship, combining functionality and elegance while reflecting TAP’s brand identity and Portuguese hospitality.
The updated travel kits also introduce products from Portuguese companies. New items include socks from PEDEMEIA, a family-owned Portuguese textile company, and wellness and personal care products from 8950, a brand inspired by the landscapes and scents of the Algarve.
The collection also incorporates recycled materials in several components, from the bag to the inner lining, along with accessories made from sustainably sourced materials, including a bamboo toothbrush and kraft paper packaging.
TAP is also offering customers access to PressReader, a digital library of newspapers and magazines available on-board Airbus A330-900 and Airbus A321LR aircraft. The new service allows passengers to browse a selection of national and international newspapers and magazines free of charge through the aircraft’s Wi-Fi portal, without purchasing an internet package. The catalog includes general news, business, travel, technology, sports, lifestyle and entertainment titles from markets including Portugal, Brazil and the United States.
The airline is also introducing a “Skip Meal” option on long-haul flights for passengers who want to prioritize rest during their journey. Customers can make the request on the airline’s website through “Manage Booking,” or on the TAP app under “Choose Meal,” allowing them to indicate in advance that they do not wish to receive a meal on board.
In addition, TAP’s new partnership with LUGGit offers customers a more convenient way to travel. Available to passengers traveling through the airports of Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Barcelona and Athens, the service enables customers to request luggage collection, storage and delivery at departure and/or at their destination, with pickup or drop-off at the airport, hotel, home or another location of their choice. The service allows passengers to move around the city without carrying their luggage for part of their trip.
The new services and products reflect TAP’s commitment to delivering a travel experience that is better tailored to passengers’ preferences and travel habits, with solutions that combine comfort, entertainment, personalization and flexibility.
