Khadijah Haqq-McCray is seeking child and spousal support two years after her split from estranged husband Bobby McCray.

According to court documents obtained by Us on Monday, August 24, Haqq-McCray, 43, filed for child support and $100,000 from her ex for attorney’s fees.

The Girls star claimed the official date of her and McCray’s separation was July 17, 2023. McCray filed for divorce on August 16, 2024.

Haqq-McCray outlined her income in the docs viewed by Us, which she claims includes $150,000 from a recent reality series she filmed back in April. She alleged that she has relied on loans from friends and family to help with her living expenses since her split from McCray.

Denise Truscello/WireImage Former NFL star Bobby McCray has filed for divorce more than a year after splitting from Khadijah Haqq. According to TMZ, McCray, 43, filed court documents on Friday, August 16, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The filing reportedly listed their date of separation as July 7, 2023. McCray and […]

“I earned minimal residuals and was occasionally paid for small projects I worked in the entertainment industry, but the majority of our community income came from [Bobby’s] NFL payments,” the docs read. “We always lived in single-family residences and [he] was always up-to-date with our lease payments. We went on at least one domestic/international vacation per year with the children, which included paying for flights, nice hotels, entertainment, and excursions and dining.”

Haqq-McCray claimed that she always drove a GMC Yukon, Denali or Range Rover.

“We always had at least two cars, one being an SUV and [he] was always up-to-date with our loan payments,’” she said in the filing.

Haqq-McCray also detailed the lavish lifestyle she and McCray lived with their three children: Christian Louis, Celine Amelia, and Kapri Naomi.

“We went to restaurants for meals or ordered in multiple times per week. We were always able to buy the children their desired gifts for birthdays, holidays, or otherwise without much concern for cost. All of our children are going to/went to private school,” read the docs. “We also paid significant amounts for each child to participate in extracurricular activities of his, her choice, including gymnastics, football, soccer, and tutoring. In addition to paying for the majority of hours, and the children’s living expenses, [he] was also able to set aside funds for retirement. We had minimal to no debt and did not need to live off of credit cards, which I have to rely upon now to make ends meet.”

Haqq-McCray stated that she believes she has “marketable skills” and is attempting to utilize those alleged skills to pursue more opportunities in the entertainment industry,

“The nature of the entertainment industry is such that the artist go from contract to contract or gig to gig, as opposed to one consistent full-time job,” she wrote. “It is necessary to seek out your own opportunities in order to receive job offers. I regularly seek out opportunities to maintain and ideally increase my income, so as to support myself in our children. I am always looking for and availing myself to opportunities to expand my repertoire, the entertainment industry.”

Haqq-McCray claimed that she earned just over $70,000 last year. So far this year, she has earned about $86,000, according to the filing. She stated that she worked as a consultant for Below Deck and received $7,500 over 19 weeks. She also booked two appearances for Raising Canes earning $25,000 and provided her own hair and makeup and paid for photography and videography. She also worked on a six-month marketing and social media promotion job for a cookie dough company for $5,000 per month and had to provide her own wardrobe and baking supplies.

At the time she also claimed that she is “unable to earn enough money to maintain the marital standard of living” and that she has “been primarily responsible for the care of our children throughout [the] marriage and since the date of separation.”

“[Bobby] is neither consistently in California and nor does he have a set schedule to see the children. In fact, he rarely requests to spend time with them,” she alleged. “With little to no help from [him], I’m unable to dedicate significant additional time toward work, but continue to seek out and make myself available for opportunities, which are manageable given my responsibilities and resulting time constraints as a full-time parent.”

Haqq-McCray stated that she stopped working while she was married to McCray to take care of their children.

“I dedicated nearly our entire marriage to be a full-time stay-at-home mother to our children,” the docs read. “I stopped working prior to the birth of our eldest child and have recently been able to secure a job that is more than just a one off brand deal or appearance on a show. I am solely responsible for school and camp pick-ups and drop-offs, scheduling and taking the children to their appointments and driving each of our children to their various respective extracurricular activities and tutoring.”

Haqq-McCray also claimed she served as McCray’s caretaker when he dealt with injuries during his NFL career.

“I took him to his doctor’s appointments and served as his caretaker to help facilitate recovery after his hip surgeries to allow to pursue his passion and return to playing for the NFL,” she alleged.

Haqq-McCray shared that when she receives support from McCray she will be able to properly care for their kids and seek “additional gainful employment.”

“My monthly living expenses are approximately $13,892.29. My rent is currently $4512 per month and my utilities are at least $680 per month,” she claimed. “It costs at least $1900 every month for groceries and $400 every month for eating out.”

The reality star also claimed she has $11,493.59 in her savings account.

“I’m taking on as many jobs as I’m able to while simultaneously managing my responsibilities as a sole provider and caregiver,” she said. “I am unable to meet my and our children’s monthly expenses with what I earn each month. I have been forced to seek loans from friends and family.”
