The View hosts are extremely outspoken about their disagreement with President Trump’s administration and policies. In a surprising turn of events, JD Vance joined the talk show this week. Longtime host Joy Behar was accused of being “in love” with the Vice President. Keep reading to find out more about the shocking accusation.
Joy Behar’s Secret Message To JD Vance
JD Vance went on The View to talk about his new memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith. However, he spent the majority of the interview explaining or defending some of President Trump’s controversial policies. Despite the bad blood between the White House and the hosts of the ABC talk show, the interview was surprisingly cordial.
Joy Behar opened up about what viewers didn’t see on an episode of the show’s podcast. She confirmed on Behind the Table that she did say something shocking to JD Vance. She admitted that she told him that he should run for President. Joy added that she didn’t think JD Vance was a “bad guy.”
“I think if he were president, he’d go back to being a kinder person,” Joy Behar said on the podcast. Her comments are shocking, given that she’s a devout Democrat and one of Trump’s harshest critics. The feeling of respect was apparently mutual. JD Vance gave Joy Behar a rave review.
The View Host Accused Of Being ‘In Love’ With Vice President
JD Vance’s appearance on The View was still a hot topic on Friday’s episode. With Joy Behar as the day’s moderator, the hosts discussed his interview from earlier in the week. They played a clip of a press conference the Vice President held days after his appearance. He joked that negotiating with the hosts was easier than negotiating with the Iranian government. “Look, Joy Behar is way tougher than the Iranians, and she and I are best friends now,” JD Vance said during the press conference.

“I respect the office. I believe in reaching across the aisle,” Joy Behar said about JD Vance’s praise. Her reaction prompted an inquisition from the other hosts. “But I want to know, why were you so in love with JD Vance?” Sunny Hostin asked.
Joy Behar denied that she was “in love” with the Vice President, but Ana Navarro didn’t buy it. “He came in strategically prepared to disarm us with niceness. He came in being affable and laughing easily and being very nice. It worked on you. Didn’t work on me,” she told Joy.
Joy Behar denied that JD Vance’s charm worked on her. The moment grew tense as she claimed that she was welcoming because that’s what The View founder Barbara Walters taught her. Sunny Hostin grudgingly admitted Joy was right about that. “When someone comes to your house, you treat them well. She did tell me that,” Sunny said.
Joy Behar was adamant that she wasn’t “in love” with JD Vance after his appearance. Tell us in the comments if you think she was taken by his charm.
