Tim Curry Passes Away Aged 80

Tim Curry, a star of both stage and screen, has passed away at age 80. His longtime manager and friend Marcia Hurwitz confirmed he died in his home in Los Angeles, and no cause has been disclosed. For many film fans, this name carries legendary performances harnessing characters that have been bold, funny and frightening. His career spanned six decades, leaving his imprint on all creative mediums as a role model and icon of his time. 

Tim Curry will be forever immortalised as Dr Frank-N-Furter, first playing the role in the stage musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show,  before reprising it in the 1975 film adaptation. This propelled him to cult stardom immediately, and has become a performance that is long idolised and appreciated as one of the greats.
