However, she’s also shared a few admissions about her own personal life and her family over the years. Recently, one emotional share had the broadcast journalist in tears, even needing to be comforted by her co-star.
Jenna Bush Hager’s Share Came Out As She Opened Up About A Recent Project On Today
Jenna first joined Today in 2009 as a correspondent. In 2019, she became a co-host on the show’s fourth hour, working alongside Hoda Kotb and later Sheinelle Jones.
Throughout her time with the show, Jenna has covered a lot of high-profile stories. Today viewers have seen her sit down to interview Queen Camilla and living presidents, including her father, George W. Bush.
However, Jenna recently had a share about her family. During Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, she admitted that she feels she needs to spend time with her daughter, Poppy.
Jenna shared that she was especially busy because of her work on a new television show, with her recently sharing that she was working on an NBC pilot. She shared, “I’ve been working a lot because this has been shooting [a pilot], and I’ve had these big interviews and all the book stuff, and so this morning when I woke up, I thought, ‘Okay, the next couple weeks, the next couple months, it’s kid-focused.’”
Jenna Found Words Of Comfort With Her Co-Host, Sheinelle Jones
Speaking with Sheinelle Jones, Jenna shared, “I’m like, ‘How can I show up for Poppy in a way….’” She then broke off, getting emotional before adding, “Now I’m crying. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. It’s ‘cause I haven’t been able to…”
Jones took it upon herself to comfort her co-star. She noted, “We can’t do it all at the same time.” She also praised Jenna for all that she does as a parent, noting, “You just had a whole Mommy & Me thing. And that was amazing!”
Jenna continued, “I know, but it wasn’t with Poppy. Anyway, she’s coming. We’re okay. Should I lay [down]?” She then pretended she was lying down in a therapist’s office. However, Sheinelle remained reassuring, adding, “You guys, we just had a moment collectively, but it’s okay.” She ultimately noted, “We can’t do it all at once.”
