The Season 7 finale of Unexpected was set to air on Monday, April 27th, per the TLC schedule. Yet, after the episode ended, a preview for another was shown, and it had a lot of bombshells. So, what is going on, and when is the true season finale going to be on? Keep reading for all of the details that are currently known.
Is Season 7 Over?
Since Season 7 of Unexpected was filmed about a year ago, a lot has happened since. Fans have been keeping up with the cast via social media and various other sources. At the same time, they wondered if there would be a tell-all. They hosted them until Season 5, but then they stopped, which made some sense. Tell-all host Ananda Lewis sadly passed away in June 2025, and although they could have called on someone else, she was a fan favorite. There were a lot of questions based on what happened after filming, but TLC posted that the season finale was on April 27th.
That ended up being false. At the end of the episode, it showed that there was more to come, and it was an “update” show. They started with Amya, who has long red hair, a face filled with piercings, and is now dating a woman. Mama G had initially noted she did not give Amya the sex talk because she was a lesbian, and it seems she has found love with a lady once again. Jose appeared brokenhearted, but the tea will be spilled. Bella Vaughn shared that Hunter Johnson is now living with his dad part-time, so that is hard for her and their son.
Mia Quebedeaux and her Louisiana-based family’s disastrous house fire is addressed as Unexpected fans have been worried sick about them. They detail exactly what happened and an attempt to rebuild. Finally, Isabella Leal- Stone is now engaged to THE Bryce Palmer, and they seem very happy, but her mother, Tasha, is livid. It is so bad that they are not on speaking terms.
What Comes Next?
Season 8 of Unexpected is already casting, but it is unclear if any of this season’s cast will be on it. Bella’s family is extremely controversial, and Hunter’s father is doing all he can to keep him out of the spotlight. However, fans are very invested in what will happen next with them. It is possible one couple may make it, but it is anybody’s guess. After next week, 90 Day: The Single Life will air for two hours.
