Vicki Gunvalson has been called out for running RHOC into the ground and is being called a “crabby old lady.” She returned to the franchise for the iconic twentieth season, but viewers think it was better left without her. Keep reading for more details on what viewers are saying regarding Vicki being back.
Vicki Gunvalson Ruined RHOC
When RHOC premiered in 2006, Vicki Gunvalson was one of the core cast members. She was establishing her insurance business, raising her two children, and trying to figure out her second marriage with her catchphrase of “woo hoo.” As time went on, she became incredibly successful, found new partners, and began to turn off viewers. What began as something fun and niche started to become repulsive and obnoxious. Vicki was let go after Season 14 but still made her presence known as a friend since she was close to Shannon Beador.
Due to the show’s longevity, Vicki was given her orange back for Season 20. She was also asked to join the new season of RHUGT. Unfortunately, fans are not happy with how she is behaving and feel that she has only made RHOC worse than ever:
- TamRAT was the OC’s ultimate ruination for years. Welp, Vicki ‘Woo Hoo’ Gunvalson (sp?) has taken that mantle and single-handedly run the franchise completely into the ground.
- I just think she’s a crabby old lady
- YES, I can not believe that they let her back on this show. She is mean, jealous and hateful human being
Now, the ratings for RHUGT have not been impacted by Vicki Gunvalson and her bad attitude. It garnered a 110% streaming high on Peacock, as it is bringing together legendary Housewives from franchises galore. Therefore, fans are invested in various pieces of the puzzle rather than just one segment. However, the same cannot be said for RHOC.
Fans Were Excited
Initially, RHOC fans were excited for what was to come, and Andy Cohen reassured them that it would be something vastly different from Season 19. It started out strong, but by midseason, it had gone from 0.627 million live viewers to around 0.548 million. Additionally, fans have demanded the exit of Vicki Gunvalson, and they are not quiet about it:
- I never watched OC so didn’t know too much about her but I am watching the roadtrip and she is unbearable
- Time for her to go. Can’t stand her screaming and toxicity anymore. I’m tuning out until she’s gone
- I stopped watching both I can’t stand her! Whose idea to bring this moron back?
- Yes! I’m about to stop watching bc I can’t stand her!
At this point, Bravo needs to reconsider how important Vicki Gunvalson is to the show and why they brought her back. Yes, she helped to start RHOC, but her time has come and gone. Maybe she is good for a few pop-ins, but as a full-time cast member, she is clearly not working.
Do you agree that Vicki is bringing down these Bravo franchises, and would you be happy to never see her again? Finally, do you think she has a sense of entitlement, and that’s why she is so rude? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
