More than 140 golfers gathered at Lionhead Golf Club on June 4 for the inaugural Voyzant Cares Charity Golf Tournament hosted by Voyzant and Voyzant Cares in support of Covenant House Toronto.
“This tournament is about more than golf; it’s about making a difference in the lives of others,” said Chippy Jega, Chief Executive Officer of Voyzant. “The support we have seen from our sponsors, partners and participants demonstrates the power of coming together as a community to help those who need it most.”
The sold-out event brought together clients, partners, sponsors and industry supporters for a day of golf, networking and fundraising. The tournament marked the first edition of what organizers intend to make an annual event, combining business community engagement with support for a local charitable cause.
Covenant House Toronto is Canada’s largest agency serving youth experiencing homelessness and human trafficking. Funds raised through the tournament will support programs and services including shelter, health care, education, job training and long-term support for vulnerable youth.

On the course, Garry Saggu, Ron Sidhu, Shivendra Singh and Harjeet Ghatora finished atop the leaderboard with a score of 13-under par, earning top honours in the tournament’s first year.
The day included 18 holes of golf, on-course activities, networking opportunities and a silent auction. While the final fundraising total is still being calculated, organizers expect the tournament to raise tens of thousands of dollars for Covenant House Toronto. The official amount will be announced in the coming days following the completion of auction tabulations.
For Voyzant, the tournament builds on the work of Voyzant Cares, the company’s charitable initiative, which has supported a range of community and humanitarian efforts.
“Through Voyzant Cares, we have supported families and communities during the pandemic and contributed to relief efforts for those affected by flooding in Sri Lanka and other humanitarian causes around the world,” said Jega. “Every sponsorship, donation and round of golf played today helps make a meaningful impact.”

With strong participation from sponsors, partners and golfers, organizers said the inaugural tournament provided a solid foundation for future fundraising efforts. Plans are already underway for the event’s return in 2027.
