Trent Rockets (TRT) bounced back in style with a thrilling one-wicket victory over London Spirit (LNS) in The Hundred Men’s 2026 at Trent Bridge. Chasing 160, the Rockets held their nerve in a tense finish to complete the highest successful run chase at the venue. Earlier in the match, New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner grabbed the spotlight with an outstanding caught-and-bowled effort to remove James Coles, producing one of the best catches of this year’s competition.
Mitchell Santner grabs sensational diving return catch
The stunning moment came on the 79th ball of London Spirit’s innings when Coles looked to chip the ball back over the bowler after failing to get fully behind his shot. Santner reacted instantly, diving sharply to his left and stretching out one hand to pluck the ball out of thin air before it could hit the turf.
The spectacular return catch sent Coles back to the pavilion for just two runs off three deliveries and left teammates and fans applauding the New Zealand spinner’s brilliant athleticism. The catch quickly became one of the standout fielding moments of The Hundred Men’s 2026.

Ben Duckett powers Trent Rockets to memorable win
Earlier, London Spirit posted 159/9 after being asked to bat first. Dewald Brevis top-scored with 39, while Lhuan-dre Pretorius, James Rew and captain Liam Livingstone all made useful contributions. Trent Rockets fought back brilliantly in the closing stages, with Adam Milne claiming two wickets and the spin duo of Santner and Calvin Harrison keeping the scoring under control.
In reply, Ben Duckett anchored the chase with a superb 75 off 47 balls to lay the foundation for the Rockets. Tom Banton provided explosive support during a rapid opening partnership before Sam Billings kept the momentum going in the middle overs.
With 25 runs needed from the final 10 balls, Craig Overton turned the game on its head by smashing an unbeaten 20 off just six deliveries, including two towering sixes. He fittingly struck the winning runs off his brother Jamie Overton as Trent Rockets sealed a memorable victory with two balls remaining to open their account in The Hundred Men’s 2026.
The game swung like a pendulum in the run-chase but Overton’s power-packed 20 off 6 has led his side to a brilliant victory ✋#TheHundred pic.twitter.com/uzsQm49mFC
