In a Facebook post, Gabrielle Cheyenne pushed back against claims that she didn’t want to be on stage, saying, “First off NOBODY is declining to go on stage.” She explained that she and her mother had floor seats before being moved to VIP ahead of the show and said they did not know what she would be brought on stage for. Cheyenne also questioned why viewers expected her to react a certain way, adding that the moment was an exciting opportunity and telling critics they were not used to experiences like that. Her mother also joined in on the conversation, sharing a photo of Cheyenne with Usher’s wife while showing support for her daughter amid the online reactions.
