Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson has been showing off a bit of a transformation with fans in recent years. During a recent appearance, Davidson had lost some of his iconic tattoos. The star had previously talked about this change, noting that it was rather costly, in addition to being a long process.
Pete Davidson Recently Made An Appearance At CinemaCon
Many know Davidson best for his work on NBC’s late-night sketch comedy, Saturday Night Live, starring from 2014 to 2022. Prior to this, he became known for appearances on shows like Guy Code and Wild ‘n Out.
In his personal life, Davidson started a relationship with model and actress Elsie Hewitt in 2025. By the end of the year, they had welcomed a daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.
One of Davidson’s defining features over the years is his tattoos. At one point, he had over 200 pieces of ink on his body. Images ranged from SpongeBob SquarePants to Hillary Clinton.
Davidson Previously Teased A Bit Of The Process Back In December
Since 2020, however, Davidson has been on a journey to remove most of his ink. In a process that has taken nearly six years and $200,000, he recently showed off some big progress.
This week at CinemaCon, Davidson was dressed in a red T-shirt, revealing that the tattoos on his arms, hands, and neck were either heavily faded or virtually gone.

As noted by People, Davidson was at the event promoting his new film, How to Rob a Bank. This comes a few months after Davidson showed off his process when Hewitt shared a shirtless photo of the comedian with their daughter.
Speaking with Variety, Davidson also explained his decision to remove his ink. At the time, he shared, “I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up. So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain.”
The star previously shared that it’s not an easy process, noting that it could take another 10 years at the time. He continued, “It’s pretty horrible. It’s like putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer, and then you gotta do maintenance and let it heal properly. And it’s pretty tough. It sucks, I’m not gonna lie.”
