The Merrifields have been under fire essentially since they first started on Seeking Sister Wife. Viewers could not believe how controlling Garrick Merrifield was and how much he hurt his wife, Dannielle, in the process. Yet, as time went on, she became complicit with his bad behavior and somewhat of an enabler.
In November 2025, Garrick was arrested for domestic violence, and now, it appears that he and Dannielle might be considering leaving America. Keep reading for more details on where they could be headed.
Garrick & Dannielle Left Alone Again
Seeking Sister Wife viewers watched Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield as they courted Roberta Pache. hoping to bring her to America. She resided in Brazil, and they spent a lot of money so she could become their sister wife. They even flew her in so that she and Garrick could try to conceive, but she decided she did not want to leave Brazil. The Merrifields were left brokenhearted but moved on with Nathalia Lima, also from Brazil. However, a surprise pregnancy from Dannielle and other details ended that engagement. Ultimately, they met Brazilian-based Lorrana, who was ready and willing to move to Buena Vista, Colorado.
She married Garrick, got pregnant, had a baby girl, but he was arrested for domestic violence against her. Lorrana tried to portray that things were perfect, but they were not. She filmed herself fearing for her life, and is now looking for a lawyer. At the same time, the judge in the DV case granted Garrick permission to leave the state, and it appears he has. Now, it looks like he and Dannielle may be looking to leave the country. They do not have their sister wife anymore, but have a penchant for Brazilian women. Furthermore, Dannielle has noted that Garrick suffers from migraines.
However, they are substantially better when he is in Brazil. This is also the case in Mexico, where they would often meet up with their potential sister wives. Yet, the Seeking Sister Wife couple is in such hot water for their treatment of Lorrana; leaving might be the best option.
Dannielle Should Take The Lead
Some Seeking Sister Wife fans felt that Dannielle Merrifield should be the one picking the sister wives. Garrick Merrifield controls the narrative and makes all of the choices. As viewers saw, he has his own king suite, whereas his wives shared one room. It was a very weird situation, but it may be hard to find another woman who would want to deal with them. However, if they are invited back for another season, it may be considerably easier.
