Bravo announced that The Real Housewives of Miami won’t return for Season 8, at least not anytime soon. While the show wasn’t canceled outright (again), it was put on pause. Real Housewives OG Alexia Nepola attacked Bravo fans for the show going on a production pause. She shared her thoughts on whether it will return or be canceled for good. RHOM Star Turns Herself In After Police Issue Warrant
The Real Housewives of Miami was put on pause in March 2026. Bravo may be regretting that now. Florida police put a warrant out for Lisa Hochstein’s arrest earlier this week. She’s charged with intercepting communications. The charges stem from a 2023 incident when she allegedly put a recording device on her ex-husband’s car.
After days on the lam, the RHOM star turned herself in on Wednesday. She quickly paid the $5,000 bond and was released. Her co-star Alexia Nepola shared her support. “I’m just here for her — to support her and give her a big hug and a kiss when she comes out. That’s why our show is different from other shows. We’re real friends,” she told Page Six.
Alexia Nepola Attacks Bravo Fans For Show’s Pause
The Real Housewives of Miami is also different from the other shows on Bravo because it was canceled in 2013 and revived in 2021. It moved to Peacock for Seasons 6 and 7. However, the show is on the brink of cancellation again. Bravo put it on an indefinite pause.

In an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Alexia Nepola blamed Bravo fans for the production pause. “All these Bravo fans need to watch our show. Because it’s always like, ‘Oh my God, we love your show.’ Our show’s so popular, but where are these Bravo fans? We need them!”
She added, “We need them to watch our show because apparently our ratings were not that high and that’s why we’re on a pause — for now. But our life continues.”
Reveals Whether Show Will Return
But Alexia Nepola didn’t blame just Bravo fans. She put some blame on the network itself for airing the show during the summer, which is the least-viewed time of the year. “For whatever reason, I don’t know if the timing was wrong last season — our show was in the summer which is a difficult time of the year to actually watch the show live. So I think that influenced a lot.”
RHOM has risen from the ashes once before and she believes it will again. “We’re hoping that sooner than later we’ll come back because I feel like ‘Miami,’ the cameras should always be up,” she said about the show’s future. Tell us in the comments if you agree with her that viewers are to blame for the pause.
