This has left a few fans wondering what could happen next, with one famous figure even suggesting her next venture. A few fans have even been sharing their reactions to the idea on social media.
Hoda Kotb Previously Worked Alongside George W. Bush’s Daughter Jenna On Today‘s Fourth Hour
Kotb is a television personality best known for her work with Today, having co-hosted the program’s fourth hour from 2007 to 2025. Despite leaving in 2025, she has occasionally reappeared on the show for guest appearances. Recently, she filled in for Savannah Guthrie, who stepped away in light of her mother Nancy’s disappearance, but returned earlier this month.
Kotb’s former co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, was recently involved with the History Talks program, where she got to speak with living presidents. This included her own father, George W. Bush. As Jenna pointed out, Kotb was at the event, which led to a little reunion.
After Jenna pointed out Hoda to her father, the elder Bush could be heard saying, “Hodes! Look at you!” His daughter agreed with the sentiment, sharing, “Doesn’t she look great?” Bush added, “She does look great,” before giving Kotb a big hug.

The older Bush also jokingly suggested a new show for him and Kotb. As he joked, “Hoda and I are gonna do a show together.” He then teased a possible title, “Hoda & George.” Of course, this gave Kotb a good laugh.
As noted by People, Kotb and Bush have a long-running history together. Bush had actually painted her a custom portrait of her and her daughters in honor of her 60th birthday. His daughter Jenna also once shared that he praised Kotb when she first got her job on Today, knowing that they’d be working alongside each other. As she shared, “He said, ‘I’m so happy for you, and Hoda’s a star, you’re gonna be OK with that, right?”
As previously reported, in addition to her father, Jenna spoke with Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton. The event was meant to honor the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. Viewers also got to see clips of the presidents on Today earlier this week.
With the recent reunion shared on social media, various fans have also been sharing their reactions. While likely meant as a joke, a few even admitted that they would watch a show with Kotb and the 43rd president. Some comments included:
