Kayle Osborne of Westport, Ontario ended her 2025-26 Professional Women’s Hockey League season on a high note. In her final PWHL game of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday, Osborne recorded a shutout in a 1-0 New York Sirens win over the Toronto Sceptres at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario.

At the time, this was a significant loss for the Sceptres. And with their 3-0 regulation loss to the Ottawa Charge on Saturday, they were eliminated from the postseason. Quite frankly, if you are unable to score in your last two games of the regular season, you do not deserve to make the playoffs.

In New York’s win over Toronto on Tuesday, Osborne made 21 saves. She had four saves in the first period, six saves in the second period, 10 saves in the third period, and one save in overtime.

Canadian Olympic gold medalist Sarah Fillier of Georgetown, Ontario recorded an assist on the game-winning goal by Allyson Simpson at 2:42 of overtime. Fillier won a gold medal for Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.

For the season, Osborne had a record of 11 wins, 14 regulation losses and losses in extra time with four shutouts. She had a goals against average of 2.47 and a save percentage of .906.
