The drama for the Summer House crowd and West Wilson just does not end. On the heels of his romance with Amanda Batula and the reunion audio leak, West’s life continues to blow up. His step-grandmother was killed with his cousin as the prime suspect. Keep reading for all of the details.
West Wilson In The Hot Seat
When West Wilson came onto the Summer House scene, he seemed fairly nice and was good enough to win over Ciara Miller. Unfortunately, their relationship ended badly, and there were hurt feelings. He went off to live his best life with zero commitment, but that all changed when Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke split. Rumors flew that he and Amanda were hooking up, but everyone ignored it. Ciara and West were on good terms, and she and Amanda were best friends. However, they soon came clean and admitted they were trying a romance out.
Now, he has another debacle on his hands, but this is a definitive tragedy. West’s step-grandmother was murdered on April 22nd. This was the evening before the Summer House reunion was filmed, and allegedly, his cousin was the culprit. Supposedly, shots could be heard at the home of Gayle R. Wilson. Authorities came to her home, and that was where they found the seventy-five-year-old deceased. West’s cousin, Dakota Sweeney of Carrollton, Missouri, was then taken into custody. Allegedly, Dakota sat with Gayle for 30 minutes in the same room before he took a handgun and shot her.
It seems they were also arguing beforehand, as Dakota was not willing to clean up or help around the home. West Wilson’s father, Bruce, and Dakota’s mother, Kelly, are the deceased’s stepchildren. Dakota has now been charged with first-degree murder, and a holster was found on him. It is unclear if this was brought up at the reunion or if West was even alerted when he filmed.
A Shocking Incident
After Summer House fans learned what happened, they were shocked. They could not believe that West Wilson’s cousin did this to their step-grandmother and expressed their disbelief:
