Starlink internet is once again on sale for Canadians, with the satellite internet service offering a discounted rate for your first three months.
Until May 10, those who sign up for Starlink will pay $39/mo for their first three months, and then the regular $70/mo thereafter. That gets you Starlink’s 100Mbps ‘Residential’ plan with unlimited data.
However, Starlink’s other plans are on sale as well. You can jump up to the 200Mbps plan for $79/mo for three months (then $110/mo) or the 400Mbps+ ‘Max’ plan for $109/mo for three months ($140/mo thereafter). The Max plan also includes a free Mini Kit customers can use when travelling, making it a compelling choice for people who need internet both at home and, for example, at the cottage or for their RV.
Per the terms on Starlink’s website, the three-month discount is only available to new customers and only applies to one service line. Moreover, it notes that the promotion varies by location — I was checking from Ontario, so if you live elsewhere, it might be different.
When I checked, Starlink was also offering a free ‘Standard 4’ satellite rental kit with no monthly cost. Starlink started offering free hardware kits like this in January, a nice bonus since it previously cost $399 in Canada.
You can check out the current Starlink deal for yourself on the company’s website.
