The hilarious final trailer for Minions & Monsters, the latest film in the Despicable Me franchise, has just been released online by Illumination.
We all remember where we were in Summer 2024 when the funniest comedy of the year dropped, Despicable Me 4 and now, fresh off the success, we’re getting another one in the franchise. This time, back with the Minions at the forefront. Minions & Monsters is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
The voice cast for the film includes multiple Academy Award winners and nominees, including Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Zoey Deutch, and Jesse Eisenberg, with Trey Parker (co-creator of South Park), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) and Phil LaMarr (Futurama) also involved.
It is directed by Pierre Coffin, the director of the first three Despicable Me films as well as the first Minions film. Coffin is also the voice for the Minions and has been since their film debut in 2010. The film is written by Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets films) alongside Coffin again. It is produced by Illumination’s founder and CEO, Chris Meledandri and by Bill Ryan (executive producer, The Super Mario Bros. Movie). The executive producer is Brian Lynch.
Minions and Monsters is in Cinemas on July 1st.
