Jeff Probst’s Brother Dead At 58
Fans know Jeff Probst as the long-running host of Survivor. It is now on Season 50, and the finale will be three hours long. Moreover, it will be live from Fiji, the first one presented live since Season 40. At the same time, Jeff is filming for upcoming seasons, so he is working around the clock. Unfortunately, tragedy does not have a timetable and can strike at any time. On Monday, May 11th, 2026, it was revealed that Jeff’s younger brother, Scott, had died at the age of 58. The news was shared by their other brother, Brent.
Alongside a photo of Scott, Brent Probst shared these words:
- Some sad news, our brother Scott is no longer with us. He was a great brother, son and friend. I will miss him so much ❤️ I’m so sad he is gone.
Immediately, kind and consoling words came in for the family. It is unclear what the cause of his death was or if he was sick before. However, it was noted that their mother passed away less than two years ago. Therefore, this has not been an easy time for Jeff, who has yet to post anything about Scott’s death just yet.
Immediately, Jeff Probst’s brother’s post saw an outpouring of love, which should show how beloved the Survivor family is:
- So sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love to the family. ❤️
- Our deepest condolences to the whole Probst family. ♥️♥️♥️ Big hugs to you all. 🫂
- So sorry for your family’s loss. Sending hugs your way.
- So sorry for you and your family! Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers – hugs!!!❤️
Will Jeff Leave?
Again, Jeff Probst is set to host the live three-hour Survivor Season 50 finale on May 20th. However, with his brother’s passing, it is unclear if he will stay in Fiji or fly home. At the same time, the family has not publicly announced memorial arrangements, so they may not have anything just yet. Hopefully, the family feels all of the love and unwavering support flooding in, and that helps them get through the heartbreak.
