Seeking Sister Wife star Dannielle Merrifield just gave fans ‘Handmaid’s Tale‘ vibes, and that is not something to be proud of. She has long either concerned viewers or completely creeped them out. Dannielle Destroyed Her Sister Wife
In Season 6 of Seeking Sister Wife, Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield finally nailed down a woman to marry. They had been courting two women prior, as well as some casually, but it always ended in heartbreak. However, Lorrana, from Brazil, was the first to be ready and willing to fly to Buena Vista, Colorado, and start a new life. She married Garrick and soon found out she was pregnant. Unfortunately, not long after welcoming her daughter, Sarah, Garrick was arrested for domestic violence against Lorrana. She stuck around until things became terrifying.
Additionally, she recorded a video of what appeared to be Dannielle berating her. Lorrana made it seem like something could happen at any time, and now, she is looking for a lawyer to protect herself and Sarah. Sunday, May 10th, was Mother’s Day, so Dannielle posted a tribute to her children, but she noted she had four of them. She and Garrick have two sons, Geremiah and Solomon, and a daughter, Leia, but who is the fourth?

As fans went through the Seeking Sister Wife star’s slideshow, they soon saw Dannielle holding Lorrana’s baby right after she was born. Given the current state of their relationship, that did not sit well with them:
- I understand the baby is half of her husband and was probably planned. but I just get handmaids tale vibes from these people.
- Did not think of that… seeking handmaids Offgarret. 🤮
If Lorrana had cut ties with the Merrifields, why was Dannielle posting pictures of Sarah?
Just A Handmaid?
For those unfamiliar, in The Handmaid’s Tale, handmaids are brought in to serve Commanders. The Commander’s wives are infertile. Therefore, the handmaids will be held down by the wives while the Commanders breed with them. Seeking Sister Wife fans started to feel that Lorrana was nothing more than Dannielle’s handmaid. She had her two sons and then miraculously became pregnant with their daughter, Leia. That seemed to end Garrick Merrifield’s engagement to Nathalia Lima in Season 5. Aside from the handmaid comments, others were just baffled:
- These people are going to wind up the subjects of a true crime documentary, Lorena needs to run so fast.
- This is beyond creepy and very inappropriate, just done to intimidate and abuse Lorena.
- What a sinister comment by co-abuser Dannielle.
- That post reads to me as, “Don’t forget who got you to where you are, and who gave you this baby, Lorena.”
Many did not like how Dannielle chose to add “God” into the equation. At this point, TLC needs to keep them away from Season 7 of Seeking Sister Wife, if there is one.
