Fans of The Kardashians may recall that Kim Kardashian has a small brain aneurysm. It was discovered when she underwent a Prenuvo scan, which is a full-body screening. Many celebrities promote this service as it can detect more than 500 conditions, such as cancer, inflammation, fatty liver, and, of course, aneurysms. So, is Kim’s brain aneurysm rare, or is what she has fairly common? Keep reading for more details.
An Incredible Discovery
Kim Kardashian is constantly being called out by her family for barely taking a breath. She was studying for law school while pursuing acting and working on her clothing line. Additionally, she is a world traveler who is constantly looking for love as well as raising four children. There is also her family’s reality series, which is entering its eighth season, so she can’t stop, won’t stop. Regardless of her busy bee nature, she loves this, and it is how she thrives. However, in Season 7 of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old learned she had a brain aneurysm via a Prenuvo scan.
When she got the call, she shared the information with her older sister, Kourtney, who is in the wellness realm:
“They called me today, and they’re like, ‘Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain.’ They’re like, ‘It’s been there for like years. It was here a few years ago.’”
Of course, this is not news anyone expects to hear, and the first question is what they need to do next. However, the solution is not plausible for Kim Kardashian. It is to limit stress and keep a calm lifestyle, as she learned from consulting brain surgeon Dr. Keith Black. He explained that stress can lead to aneurysms rupturing, which then made her family even more concerned. Kourtney Kardashian had this to say regarding her sister:
“I’m definitely worried about Kim. She has so much going on between work and her four kids, that I don’t want her to have an aneurysm, of course.”
How Common Is Her Aneurysm?
Although scary and extremely unexpected, Kim Kardashian’s aneurysm has many factors. It can be genetic, and one out of every 50 people has an “unruptured brain aneurysm.” That means a fair amount were just like Kim and had no clue what was going on in their bodies, and it could remain that way. Without Prenuvo, Kim Kardashian may still be in the dark and none the wiser. With more active screenings, more would be detected, monitored, and could save lives. Kim is not alone, and although the Los Angeles native may want to be unique, this is not the time.
