Josh Efird Can’t Stand Mama June
For years, Josh Efird has been very vocal about hating Mama June Shannon. She controlled how he and Pumpkin Efird got married, as she was the one paying for their wedding. Furthermore, he and Pumpkin took in Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson when June could no longer take care of her. June had gotten too far into substance abuse, so it was better that Alana was placed elsewhere. Additionally, June would pop in whenever she wanted, and she seemingly never apologized for her bad behavior or constant abandonment.
When Josh and Pumpkin called it quits, June was over the moon and was ready to celebrate. Now, Josh has made a very bold yet morbid statement regarding his former mother-in-law. He took to TikTok Live to speak up and out about some lies circulating about him. This included having a threesome with Jessica Shannon and her wife, Shyann McCant:
“I didn’t sleep with Jessica! I can tell you that. So there’s one lie from June that was definitely wrong. That didn’t happen!”
He then went on to share that he will be celebrating big time when Georgia-based Mama June passes away:
“I hate June’s guts so much that if she died tomorrow, I’d probably throw a godd**n party! Sorry!”
Josh’s anger concerns how many lies June has allegedly spread about him over the decade he was with Pumpkin. Moreover, he claims she continues to lie on his name, and he is over that. However, Josh did admit that he was on the show because he got paid, but he has not watched an episode.

Despite all of Mama June and Pumpkin’s claims, Josh Efird maintains he only slept with Shyann McCant. His reasoning was to try to get her pregnant, and fans did see Jessica Shannon ask if they could use him to make a baby.
