Daly became known to many as a VJ on MTV’s Total Request Live. In 2002, he joined NBC, hosting Last Call with Carson Daly. Since then, he has also become a host on The Voice and a co-host on Today.
In his personal life, Day married food blogger Siri Pinter in 2015. The two share four children together.
During a recent episode, fans saw Daly sitting alongside Jenna Bush Hager. He was filling in for Sheinelle Jones, who was absent.
Though it was mentioned that Sheinelle would be back by the following day, the reason for her absence wasn’t explained at the time. However, as noted by TV Insider, she had recently spoken at the 2026 Momference conference in Washington, D.C. and had possibly taken the day off.

Daly Shared An Anecdote About Each Of His Four Children During The Share
Carson talked about how his oldest, Jackson, was 17. Sadly noting the passage of time, he mused, “He’s all grown up, looking for colleges now. Do you think you’re gonna be one of those parents that when your kid goes off, when your baby goes off to college, you have sort of a weepy moment?”
Carson admitted that the reality hasn’t hit him that his son will be moving on, even when looking for a place to live at the school. As he shared, “Every time we drive by LIU Post out in Long Island, I’m like, ‘Buddy, we’re gonna get a sick apartment here. I’m gonna hang out. It’s gonna be great.’ In my mind, I’m going with him to college. The reality hasn’t hit yet that I’m not.”

In a lighter moment, Carson also joked about finding ways to communicate with his daughter, Etta, sharing, “I have literally communicated with my daughter, in particular, more via Snapchat than I have in real life. I can say, ‘Are you okay?’ And then, I’ll put some stupid emoji. And she’ll write back, ‘LOL,’ and all these little things are flying all over the screen. As silly as it is, I am connected, a little bit.” Highlighting all of his children, he also said his daughter London was “doing awesome” and that his youngest, Goldie, was a “riot.”
