The new professional women’s hockey team in Hamilton has signed another Canadian Olympic gold medalist. On Sunday according to the Associated Press, forward Emily Clark of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has signed a two-year contract and switched Ontario-based franchises.

Clark was with the Ottawa Charge the last three seasons. In 84 games, she had 16 goals and 27 assists for 43 points. Clark was a -3 with 24 penalty minutes, 16 faceoff wins, one power-play goal, two game-winning goals, 32 blocked shots and 238 shots.

Clark’s two PWHL game-winning goals came during the 2024-25 season. Her first game-winning goal came from Brianne Jenner of Oakville, Ontario and defender Zoe Boyd of Caledon East, Ontario on an all-Canadian goal at 9:07 of the second period in a 3-2 Charge win over the New York Sirens on January 7, 2025. At the time, Clark’s goal put the Charge up 3-1. Clark’s second game-winning goal came from Mannon McMahon and Aneta Tejralova at 16:41 of the second period in a 3-1 Charge win over the Montreal Victoire on February 22, 2025. At the time, Clark’s goal put the Charge up 2-1.

Clark won her Olympic gold medal for Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. There she teamed up with Jenner, who has also signed with Hamilton after playing for Ottawa the last three seasons. Jenner also won gold for Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
