Over the past few years, fans have been following Teddi Mellencamp’s health journey. Recently, she was part of a video where she showed her emotional reaction to getting a new wig. Since then, fans have also been sharing their own reactions to the video.
RHOBH Star Teddi Mellencamp Shared Finding The ‘Magic’
Teddi is the daughter of singer-songwriter John Mellencamp. She’s known to many for appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2017 to 2020.
In 2022, Teddi was diagnosed with stage II melanoma. Last year, she was hospitalized over brain tumors, later announcing that her melanoma had metastasized to stage IV.
Following this, Teddi has shared that she was found to have no detectable cancer inside her body. However, not enough time has passed for her to officially be considered to be in remission. She continues to undergo immunotherapy and treatments.
Recently, Mellencamp was seen getting fitted for a new wig through the Wig Fairy’s Instagram on June 11. In the accompanying clip, a hairstylist placed a platinum blonde wig onto Mellencamp’s head and tossed it over the star’s shoulders.
Teddi shared, could be heard saying, “Oh, this is already so much more comfortable. Oh my gosh! This looks so much better. It actually looks like it’s coming out of my head!”

In particular, Teddi was happy about the idea of putting her hair into a ponytail without it looking fake. She even played with her hair. While looking in a mirror, Teddi started to tear up. She shared, “I’m emotional. I like it so much more.”
After the stylists cut off a few inches, Teddi shared, “Oh my gosh, I love it so much. Yay!” She particularly seemed to enjoy the realistic-looking hairline. In a caption, she wrote, “When the magic finally finds you.”
Taking to the comments, fans shared words of support with Teddi. Many appreciated the share in honor of other people going through similar situations. Some comments include:
