    La selección de Argelia logró su primera victoria en el Mundial 2026 al remontar 2-1 ante Jordania en el partido correspondiente al Grupo J, que se disputó ayer en el estadio Bahía de San Francisco. Con este resultado, el conjunto africano escaló a la tercera posición de su zona, la cual lidera la vigente campeona del mundo Argentina, mientras el cuadro asiático quedó eliminado.

    El mediocampista Nizar al-Rashdan anotó el segundo gol de Jordania en una Copa del Mundo al minuto 36, tras vencer al portero Luca Zidane –hijo de la leyenda Zinedine Zidane– con un potente disparo raso a la altura del manchón penal. En el segundo tiempo, un certero cabezazo del atacante Nadhir Benbouali proveniente de un tiro de esquina empató la pizarra (minuto 69).

    Cerca del final, Amine Gouiri, delantero del Olympique de Marsella de la liga francesa, concretó la remontada al aprovechar un descuido de la defensa asiática para empujar el balón a las redes y sentenciar el marcador (82).

    En su próximo duelo, Argelia se medirá ante Austria en busca de un boleto a dieciseisavos de final, mientras Jordania deberá enfrentarse ante la invicta selección Albiceleste con un Lionel Messi encendido.
