The 17th edition of New Horizons Studio+, the training programme tailored for directors and producers working on their debut or sophomore features, will be held from 23-26 July during the 26th TAURON New Horizons International Film Festival in Wrocław. Organised by the New Horizons Association and Creative Europe Desk Poland, the programme continues its mission to support the development and promotion of emerging European talent.
This year, eight promising director-producer teams have been chosen to participate in the programme. Four of the selected projects hail from Poland, with the remaining duos coming from Germany, Romania, Spain and Ukraine. The participants will have the opportunity to present their projects during a pitching session on the final day. Throughout the four-day initiative, they will benefit from a curated programme of lectures and consultations aimed at strengthening both the creative and the strategic aspects of their work.
The programme once again boasts a distinguished line-up of experts and mentors. Álvaro Vega, representing DobleSentido and a long-standing EAVE member, will focus on the preparation of project dossiers. Gabriele Brunnenmeyer from the MIDPOINT Institute returns to share her expertise in script development and pitching strategies, while Joanna Solecka, head of Alphapanda Warsaw, will delve into audience design and marketing. Natalia Dąbrowska from New Europe Film Sales will also offer key insights into international sales and market positioning.
New Horizons Studio+ 2026 is organised in partnership with some of the most highly respected training and networking institutions in the European film industry, including EAVE (the organiser of the EAVE Producers Workshop and EAVE Marketing Workshop), the MIDPOINT Institute, the London Film Academy, the Producers Guild of Poland, Connecting Cottbus, the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Cervantes Institute. The programme is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, with Cineuropa and Film & TV Kamera serving as media partners.
