Nancy Guthrie is still missing. Ransom notes were sent to TMZ and other media outlets shortly after the alleged kidnapping. Not much has been happening with the case until now. TMZ received another note from someone who claimed that they had the password to a phone that had a video of Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers. The note claimed that two men were involved in the suspected abduction.
The note also insinuated that Nancy Guthrie was dead and the phone included footage of her on her “last day” alive. The sender offered the information in exchange for bitcoin. TMZ turned the note over to the FBI.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos spoke out on Arizona radio station KVOI AM 1030‘s “Buckmaster Show” about the note. “I think the FBI has done a number of arrests for false or fake ransom notes. It’s a shame that that happens, but I think we’re looking at another one of those today with what’s been reported. But we’ll let the FBI do their work,” the sheriff said.
