December might still be a few months away, but there is still plenty to celebrate. Hallmark has just announced its latest “Christmas in July” holiday lineup. This comes with the premiere of a few holiday movies. In addition, Hallmark also recently announced a special promotion for fans.
Fans Will Soon See A Few New Christmas Stories A Few Months Early On Hallmark
Christmas in July celebrations have different meanings for different people. In some parts of the Southern hemisphere, the idea is to celebrate the holiday during the winter season, with December being a summer month. In the Northern hemisphere, it’s meant to be ironic, with some people just wanting an early Christmas celebration.
Over the years, the Hallmark Channel has become famous for its own Christmas in July celebrations. This often involves its outlets running Christmas-themed films throughout the month.
This year, Hallmark has recently announced the 2026 Christmas in July lineup, kicking off with another holiday, the Fourth of July. As noted by Swooon, this will include the debut of a few holiday movies.
Jessica Lowndes and Daniel Lissing, reuniting a decade after 2016’s A December Bride, star in Christmas Under Construction, a film for home renovation show fans. The plot revolves around a hit TV renovation duo who work together on a New Hampshire cabin for a Christmas special, all the while seeing if their relationship reignites.

In true Hallmark fashion, they find all feelings starting to resurface.
Taking to social media, Hallmark also recently announced a promotion that will allow fans to take a direct role in the holiday fun. As a post read, “The search is on for the Merriest Christmas Hometown! Show off your town for the chance to have your town featured in a Hallmark original movie!”
As noted by Business Wire, one grand-prize-winning town could be featured in an upcoming Hallmark film. While the big announcement was made in July, the contest will run until August 10, suggesting that the company is getting ready in time for the December holidays.
