Shreyas Iyer’s lone resistance goes in vain
Asked to bat first, India once again endured a shaky start as England’s pace attack removed key batters early. Captain Shreyas Iyer stood tall amid the collapse, producing an unbeaten 80 off 49 deliveries to guide India to 158/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Despite his determined effort, the visitors finished well below what appeared to be a competitive total on a batting-friendly surface.
