After winning a Primetime Emmy last year for Outstanding Talk Series, The Late Show earned another nomination this year.
The Late Show was nominated for Outstanding Variety Series, the new name of the category after the Emmys merged Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Scripted Variety Series. The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, and Saturday Night Live were also nominated for Outstanding Variety Series. Stephen Colbert ‘Miserable’ At Taylor Swift’s Wedding
Stephen Colbert has won 11 Emmy Awards in his long career, including 2 for The Late Show. But despite his success, he’s reportedly still reeling after the late-night talk show’s cancellation. He ended the show on a high note. However, an insider revealed that Stephen Colbert is still “heartbroken” over the cancellation.
“This wasn’t just a job – it was his identity. Stephen poured everything into that show. Losing it has hit him hard,” a source spilled to Rob Shuter. Fans are still waiting for Stephen Colbert’s next move. There were even talks about him running for President. However, the former talk show host has yet to share what’s next for him.
He was one of the 1,000 celebrities who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding over the July Fourth weekend. However, he reportedly didn’t enjoy himself. RadarOnline reported that Stephen Colbert was “miserable” the whole time.

The outlet noted that the former talk show host should be celebrating. According to Nielsen data, CBS lost over half of its late-night audience after The Late Show went off the air. Even better, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! increased viewership, indicating that viewers tuned out of CBS and into ABC to protest Stephen Colbert’s firing.
