The Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson has notoriously struggled with her weight. She has done as much as she could to drop the pounds, and now, she is at a weight that makes her happy. So, how did she drop around fifty pounds to look better than ever? Emily Simpson Is A New Woman
It has not been easy for Emily Simpson during her time on RHOC. She has tried to get in shape, even going to Tamra Judge’s old gym for a check-in. That was where she learned that she was obese. Emily tried weight loss medications, plastic surgery, and the gym. However, she still felt slighted and fat-shamed by her thinner castmates. Ahead of the epic Season 20 premiere, Emily started to show off her drastic weight loss. Her body was toned, and she had a tiny waist with incredible abs. The mother of three and former attorney was constantly in the gym, so it should be no surprise.
Many have suspected that she went back on weight loss medications or had more surgery. Now, Emily is spilling the tea on how she dropped fifty pounds to look and feel better than ever. First, she noted why she wanted to lose the weight. She had seen herself on two shows, and that was a breaking point:
“Here’s what happened. I filmed Housewives last season. Then I filmed Wife Swap, and then I saw some photos of myself. I was like, ‘Girl, you’re about to turn 50. You need to get your act together’.”
To drop the weight, Emily Simpson admits she goes to the gym seven days a week for two hours every day. She is beyond committed, but the RHOC star did state that the GLP-1 did help her at the beginning:
“I did take a GLP-1, so I always want to be honest about that. But I don’t think that you can transform the way I did with just that.”
Her hard work is the reason why she looks extremely fit and has such a toned physique. However, the gym has also helped her in another way.
The Gym Is Therapy
During the Season 20 premiere of RHOC, Emily Simpson shared an update on her son, Luke. He has ARFID and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS). Dealing with that has been immensely hard, so going to the gym has been extremely therapeutic for Emily. After reading how Emily lost the weight, reactions were mixed. Some did not believe that it was just GLP-1 and the gym. Others were so proud of her and how far she had come.
