Today star Dylan Dreyer has shared a lot about her life over the years. During an episode of Today, she discussed leaving her New York City home, complete with the regret of something she would miss out on. Elsewhere, she previously shared more about the story on social media.
Dylan Dreyer Talked About Moving Out Of Battery Park City On Today With Her Co-Hosts
Dreyer is known for her work on Today, both as a television meteorologist and as an anchor. Recently, she has also been sharing stories with The Parent Chat, a podcast series that sees her and a guest talk about family.
In her personal life, Dreyer married NBC News producer and cameraman Brian Fichera in 2012. However, the two officially filed for divorce in 2026 after separating. Despite this, the two remain friends and continue to co-parent their three sons together.
During a recent installment of Today‘s third hour, Dreyer could be seen missing her home in Battery Park City. At the time, she and her co-hosts discussed the first-ever New York Knicks Parade, which took place in the area following their NBA championship win.
At the time, Dreyer shared, “I used to live right there, I could have seen the parade right out my window. And then I left the city, a little too early.”
Dreyer Previously Shared A Video About Her Last Day In The Apartment Before Moving Onto Long Island
Al Roker expressed his sympathy, sharing, “That’s kind of a downer there.” Meanwhile, poking fun at the situation, Craig Melvin made a “whomp-whomp” sound effect.
Reportedly, as noted by Hello! Magazine, Dreyer lived in an apartment in Battery Park City with her sons prior to her divorce from Ficerha. She has since moved to the Long Island suburbs with her three boys.

Dreyer previously opened up about the story during an episode of her podcast series. Sharing a video clip, she spoke with her son, Russell, who seemed upset over the move at the time. As she told him, “Smile, it’s our last video here!” Dreyer then asked her son, “Did you like this house?” He tearfully replied, “Yeah.”
Looking back on the clip, Dreyer mused, “This made me just bawl my eyes out. It was the first time I really looked at the different chapters in my life, and it kind of was all summed up in my kids’ bedroom.”
Dreyer continued, “It was just a really special time to look back and reflect on that because we just sold that apartment, and, now, it was empty. And that room had seen so much, and now, we were moving on to a new adventure, a new chapter as a family.”
