Kris Jenner recently shared tragic news on social media. Her mother, Mary Jo, affectionately known as “MJ,” has passed away. With the share, Kris mused on what her mother had left behind as she shared her love.

Kris became known to many as the matriarch of the Kardashian family on their shows, including E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Hulu’s The Kardashians. Through these shows, fans often learned about her own mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell.
Born in 1934, MJ also appeared on the family’s various reality shows, often having touching moments with her daughter and grandchildren. In addition to appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians, she also appeared with her family on Celebrity Family Feud in 2018.
Taking to social media, Kris recently shared that her mother had passed. In a post shared on Facebook and Instagram, Kris wrote, “Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ.”
Alongside a photo of her mother, Kris continued, “There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye. My mom was the heart of our family.”

As Kris continued, she highlighted all that her mother had taught her throughout the years. She explained, “She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted; she taught us that family is everything; she showed us how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments; she showed me how to face life’s challenges with resilience and faith.”
Kris also continued to thank her mother for all the sacrifices she made in her lifetime. Looking back, Kris noted all the things she would miss, from her smile to their daily talks. However, Kris found comfort in what she would leave behind.
Kris continued, “Your love will live on in our family, in our traditions, in every moment we are together, and in every life you touched. When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us.”
Thanking God to have MJ as her mother, Kris concluded the post, “My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful, blessed life… I love you forever, Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything.”
